From the sky, Captain Nox, a relentless pirate fox, arrives and steals your village eggs!&nbsp;Last time I went on an adventure of this sort I was around 7 years old playing a game called “Spyro” – and I have nothing but good memories of it!Chick and Nugget set off to chase those eggs, and the world literally unfolds under your chicken feet as new papercrafted paths open or rotate into place. For now, let’s start with our heroes.Chick is the brave, full of spirit little chicken hero. The one carrying the backpack but also the dreams for a heroic adventure! Nugget is the lovely, nervous bird that just radiates that scared of a kitty cat energy. He has some very clever one liners for when you die, making your respawns always humorous.&nbsp;As any sidekick deserves, Nugget has his own levels, one per World Hub. WhyKev brought us a world that is not static, but instead breathes life and reacts to your actions. As you move, paper pages will curl to open a path, panels flip to reveal whole platforms, bridges are built in seconds in an origami flow, all in a mesmerizing sequence of motion. The flip of a switch is sometimes all you need to see the world changing.&nbsp;The level design is superb with all the areas of the game feeling quite their own, with 3 different World Hubs to explore, each with their own biome.As you explore the papercrafted Hubs, you can decide which level to take on next, as long as you have enough Orbs to jump into those books (level selection). The game’s pacing feels very player-driven, with you choosing which path to take next instead of a linear, hand-grabbing experience.&nbsp; <h2>Collectibles &amp; progression</h2>PaperKlay has delivered a collect-a-thon journey through buttons, orbs and finally, eggs, scattered on all levels and Hubs.<ul><li>Buttons – Your main currency. You can find these anywhere, be on the main path and side paths. You can spend these to upgrade Chick’s abilities or stats like Health which will definitely smooth your route.&nbsp;</li><li>Orbs – These are your traversal keys. More orbs mean more levels available to be explored. These are not found and are usually a reward for some side-quest.&nbsp;</li><li>Eggs – One per level, this is your main objective and they are given by completing each level.</li></ul>Together, all of these encourage you to do some light backtracking with Chick getting significantly enhanced.<h2><img src="https://cdn.builder.io/api/v1/image/assets%2F8d1e30ab8b9b45b1bd74e8b5a59502ac%2F7be3a4aaf3564c2087f1f3973a4f99aa

There are many to meet and each one with its own brand of wackiness. Alfred the ‘guitarist’, Sir Index and his weird carrot obsessions or Owlfred, a perpetually sleepy owl trying to wrangle (far too many) kids and many, many more to be met. The best part? They are all fully voiced, with high-quality voice acting in place, full of personality and quirky charm. Ardennes, 1944. What the Americans call The Battle of the Bulge slowly peters out, as Nazi tanks run out of gas and are mercilessly pounded into the ground by Allied air force.
